Queen of Hills comprises of four subdivisions like Darjeeling, Kurseong, Kalimpong and Siliguri. Siliguri is located on the banks of Mahananda River and in the foothills of Himalayas and the rest all are based on hills. Garumara: 87kms away and Mahananda Weir Sukna are the name of the two wildlife sanctuaries near to the foothills of Darjeeling.

Coochbehar lying close to Siliguri consists of beautiful palaces, temples, lakes with old-world charm since it was once a princely state. Mirik is a hill resort which is 100kms away and Kalijhora is 27 kms away along the river Teesta are famous scenic spots of the city.
